description Jean-Marie Machado, an lively and fertile creator, presents Sinfonia, a series of poetic moods invented in a single musical gesture for his orchestra Danzas.
After 30 albums, from solo to large format, including Cantos Brujos released in February 2023, which won CHOC Jazz Magazine and CHOC Classica awards, Sinfonia confirms the reflections of the Third Stream, the "third current" that weaves bridges between jazz and European classical music. Jean Marie Machado now ranks among the great composers of this exciting and vibrant movement.
The compositions create a trail of dances linked to evocations drawn from the marine imagination.
The Danzas orchestra, made up of sixteen musicians from different musical backgrounds, reveals all its strength and talent. Each musician is an admirable soloist, to whom the composer offers great moments of inspiration and free improvisation. This is the Danzas family, which Jean Marie Machado has been able to bring together and perpetuate over the course of his projects, nurturing a precious musical thought for today.
